Month 16

Dear Angus,

You turned 16 months old this month. Your little mind is growing so fast. You are so aware, alert and alive with curiosity.

You play, laugh, cry, hit, get angry, feel sad. You are one feisty little guy that does not stop for a second. Everything is an adventure for you.

If you see Jonas do or try something, well, there you are right behind him, getting ready to do the same. You climb on chairs, sit or stand at the table. You drink from a cup, a regular cup, not a sippy cup, and set it back on the table, like a big boy, which surprises many.

You use a fork or spoon when eating and throw it when done. You only give kisses if you feel like giving. I try to get one, but am turned down many times.

Today you let out a toot and you looked at me, I at you and we laughed together.
If you see a cookie or any snack and I offer you a piece, you throw it, because you don't just want a piece of it, you want the whole thing.

You throw yourself on the floor if you don't get your way and sometimes bang your head on the floor or wall, whatever is closest.

I can hand you something and ask you to throw it in the trash and you do. You walk over, open the lid and toss it in. ADORABLE!

"Mama" is THE word. Everything is "mama", even papa is "mama" these days or "ponbob". That is some influence your brother has on you. Every morning I hear you call for me in a sweet soft voice. There is nothing quite like it.

You make mess, after mess, after mess. It's all fine because I know you are learning about the world around you. But you know if you are doing something you are not supposed to, you walk away, with a pout in your lip. But you stop doing it. You listen.

What a difference a few months make, but I know this is the beginning. More mischief awaits and I am so ready for more.

Love,
Mom
